
Sally is a printmaker based in Spring Bay on the East Coast of Tasmania. Her background includes formal study and practice in printmaking, scientific illustration and graphic design. She is a committee member of Hunter Island Press, an artist-run print studio in Hobart. Her work explores the natural world – with an interest in exploring environmental art – at the intersection between art and science. She has a love of drawing and enjoys the chance elements involved in printmaking. Sally works across a range of mediums: etching, collagraphy, lithography, dyanotypes, mono-printing and block printing. Exploring different methods of colouring images using the à la poupée method, when printing, and then hand-colouring her prints.
