The printmaking process fascinates me, from drawing and plate preparation through to pulling a print. Each stage contains a mix of control and chance that I find enticing. My subject matter ranges from intimate still lives to landscapes and portraits. The landscapes I choose need to resonate with me. From the banks of the Cooks River to special coastal places – including my home in Spring Bay, Tasmania – each place has intimate meaning. My background includes formal study and practice in printmaking, scientific illustration and graphic design.
